Editorial policy
Money decisions deserve numbers you can trust. This page explains who builds and checks DollarShuffle, where every figure comes from, how we use AI tools, and how to tell us when something is wrong.

Who we are
Every calculator and guide on DollarShuffle is by John Crane, MBA & the Editorial Team. John Crane holds an MBA from the University of San Diego and a California real estate broker's license, and is the author of Great! Now What: A Grounded Guide to Sudden Wealth; he writes and reviews the calculators and guides together with the DollarShuffle editorial team. DollarShuffle is published by Aidept Solutions, LLC, a California company; see the about page.
How every figure is checked
Official sources only
Tax brackets, withholding tables, contribution limits, loan program rules and benefit formulas come from the agency that sets them: the IRS, the Social Security Administration, state revenue departments, the Treasury, FHFA, HUD, the Federal Reserve, BLS and the Census Bureau. Each page names its sources, and the methodology page lists them all with how often they refresh.
Independent checks
Before a formula is used, its results are compared with hand calculations and with official worked examples where agencies publish them. Automated tests then check the math on every change, so a fix in one place cannot quietly break another.
Regular reviews
Every calculator is reviewed against its sources each June and December and whenever an agency publishes new figures, such as new tax-year limits. Market data such as mortgage rates and inflation refreshes automatically. The date on each page is the last time its content or figures changed.
Estimates, not advice
The calculators estimate; they do not know your full situation. Each one explains its assumptions and limits under "How this is calculated." For decisions with real consequences, check with a qualified tax, legal or financial professional.
How we use AI tools
We use AI tools to help write the calculators' code and to draft and edit the guides and explanations. AI does not decide what is true: every formula, rule and figure is checked against the official source it comes from, covered by the automated tests described above, and reviewed by a person before it is published. If you find something an AI tool got wrong that we missed, please tell us.
Independence
No one pays to change a result, a ranking or a recommendation. If DollarShuffle shows advertising or links to products, they are labeled, kept separate from the calculators, and never affect any number we show.
Corrections
If you think a number, rule or explanation is wrong, email aj@aideptsolutions.com with the page and what you expected. We check every report against the official source, fix confirmed errors promptly, and update the page's date when the fix changes its content.
