Privacy policy

1. Information you enter into calculators

Calculations run in your web browser. The numbers you enter (income, balances, rates and similar) and any files you import, such as bank transactions, debts or savings bonds, are processed on your device and are not sent to us or stored on our servers.

Many calculators keep your inputs in the page address so you can bookmark or share a scenario. Anyone you send that link to can see those inputs. We remove these inputs from the page addresses we send to analytics.

2. Information collected automatically

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google LLC, to learn how visitors use and move through the site. With your consent where required, it collects:

• pages viewed (the page path only, without calculator inputs), the referring page, and time on the site;
• interactions with the site's tools, such as switching tabs, importing or exporting a CSV file, copying a link or printing, but never the values you enter or the results;
• device and browser type, screen size, language, and approximate location (country, region and city) derived from your IP address. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses;
• an identifier stored in cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) that recognizes your browser between visits.

We have turned off Google signals and advertising personalization features, and we do not use analytics data for advertising. Analytics data is kept for no more than 14 months and then deleted.

We also use Vercel Web Analytics, a service of Vercel Inc., our hosting provider, to count page views. It uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device. For each page view it records the page path (without calculator inputs), the website that sent you there if it is another site, approximate location (country, region and city), and device, operating system and browser type. It tells visits apart with a value computed from the request that is discarded after 24 hours, and Vercel does not store IP addresses with this data. It follows the same choices as Google Analytics: it does not run if you decline, if your browser sends a privacy signal, or in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland until you accept.

Hosting and security logs

Our hosting provider processes technical information such as IP address, browser type and the page requested in order to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. These logs are kept for a limited time under the provider's policies.

Live data

Interest rates, inflation figures and savings bond values are fetched by our servers from public government and industry sources. These requests do not include any information about you.

3. Information you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message, and we use it only to respond and keep a record of the conversation.

4. How we use information

• to understand which calculators and features are used, find problems and improve the site;
• to keep the site secure and working;
• to respond to messages and requests;
• to comply with law.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only to service providers that work for us under contract (Google for analytics, and Vercel for hosting and analytics), when required by law or to protect rights and safety, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply.

The site does not show advertising or paid partner links today. If that changes, we will update this policy before they appear, including what the new partners collect and the choices you have.

The site links to government agencies and other websites for reference. When you follow a link, that site's own privacy practices apply, not this policy.

6. How long we keep information

• Calculator inputs and imported files: not kept by us at all, because they stay in your browser. Page addresses you bookmark or share keep their inputs until you delete them.
• Google Analytics: up to 14 months, then deleted.
• Vercel Web Analytics: the value used to tell visits apart is discarded after 24 hours. Page view counts, which are not tied to any person, are kept for at least 12 months under Vercel's policies and may be kept longer.
• Hosting and security logs: for the limited time our hosting provider keeps them to run and protect the service.
• Emails you send us: as long as we need them to respond and to keep a record of the conversation, and then deleted.
• Your analytics choice: in your browser until you clear site data.

7. Cookies and your choices

Vercel Web Analytics sets no cookies. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before analytics runs. Everyone else can opt out at any time below, in your browser settings, or with Google's opt-out add-on. Opting out stops new analytics data; you can also delete existing cookies in your browser.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track signal, we treat it as a request to opt out and do not run analytics for that browser.

8. Your rights

California residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, you have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use and disclose it, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of its sale or sharing (we do neither), to limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect any), and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. In the last 12 months we have collected, for the purposes in section 4, these categories: identifiers (online identifiers in cookies), internet or network activity (pages viewed and site interactions), and approximate geolocation; and if you email us, your contact information.

Residents of other U.S. states

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws, including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and Oregon, have similar rights to access, correct, delete and obtain a copy of their personal data and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale or profiling. We honor these requests for all U.S. visitors.

Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

We rely on your consent for analytics, which you can withdraw at any time. You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, object to processing, and complain to your local data protection authority. Data is processed in the United States.

How to make a request

Email aj@aideptsolutions.com with the subject "Privacy request". Because we hold very little information that identifies anyone directly, we may ask for details such as your analytics cookie identifier to find your data. You may use an authorized agent, and you may appeal a decision by replying to our response. We respond within 45 days.

9. Children

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

The site is served only over encrypted connections, and we limit what we collect in the first place. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but because calculator data never leaves your device, there is little for anyone to obtain from us.

11. Changes

We will post any changes here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how we handle personal information, we will note it prominently on the site.
